Meeting of April 1, 2026. Alden Shute made a motion to accept the minutes, Maureen Rioux-

ROAD REPORT: A written report was given to the Board of Supervisors by Alden Shute.
The Board of Supervisors discussed dates available to do the road inspection. Cindy Kleinschmidt pointed out that according to the short course training, the road inspection is not actually a meeting. A supervisor can go with the road manager and report back at the next meeting details on road work for the season. For the road inspection to be a meeting, you would have to post the time at every section
for anyone that wanted to join at any time, at any section of the road. You go over what needs to be done and report it to the next meeting. So the road manager and a supervisor attend the inspection as employees. When they come back the next meeting the road inspection is part of the next road report.
The road inspection date is set for May 15, 2026, at 10 :00 am at the Town Hall. Anyone is welcome to join and observe road inspection. Details of the road inspections will be discussed in the June monthly meeting.
All officers attended the Spring Short Courses. Alden Shute was disappointed with the information he received on the short course training. The classes he took did not address small towns or bad roads. Maureen Rouix-Fust learned a lot and agreed with Alden Shute’s observations on fire department topics, and it is more expensive for insurance if there is no fire department. Do not use AI for legal advice. Stefanie Wiallmson reported that the short course advised that a township not have a social media presence and that township officers stay away from township business on their own personal pages.
Mike McCullen asked Cindy Kleinschmidt to find out the amount of liability insurance for the township.
Patrice Winfield has declared that she will no longer take a $10.00 per month stipend to pay for her personal internet,
Contracts for Donations: Cindy Kleinschmidt has the contract from Senior 7 Foundation, and the 210 Arts Gallery has not responded yet. The Pine County Historical Society will create a contract; Patrice Winfield has the contract from the Family Pathways. Cindy Kleinsxchmidt will report on the contracts again next month.
Mike McCullen declared that Paul Raymond to stay on as a township employee, taking care of mowing, shoveling, preparing town hall for meetings, etc.…
Maureen Rouix-Fust made a motion to get a plaque some sort of recognition of Paul Raymond for many years of service. Mike Mcullen second motion and motion passed. Maureen Rouix volunteered to take care of it.
Grader Roof Leak: Clay Heller gave the board a document with undisclosed information. Clay Heller proposed several options.
The numbers given to the board are rough numbers. They are a rough estimate with no limit set due to the changing prices of steel.
The subject of the grader roof was tabled until next meeting.
Board of Equalization: Alden Shute read the resolution to reinstate the rights of Wilma Township to conduct a Local Board of Audit and Equalization. Alden Shute made a motion, Maureen Rouix-Fust seconded, and motion passed.
There is discussion about the township dumping pit run on road. Terry Koscielniak will spread it. Terry Koscielnaik will sign a document regarding township not being responsible if there are any injuries or property damaged spreading rock on his road. Mike McCullen will get this document from the lawyer.
We need a resolution to remove Paul Raymond as check signer and add Cindy Kleinschmidt, Mike McCullen, Alden Shute, Patrice Winfueld, Glen Wlliamson, and Stefanie Williamson.
